One of Gill’s favourite breeds of horse is the Spanish Horse, admired across the world for it’s grace and elegance. Following on from the success of a life size study of this beautiful animal, Gill has decided to release a smaller study, standing just under 40cm tall, making it perfect for any environment.
Gill says “The inspiration for my sculpture is purely my life-long passion for animals and the natural form. As I approach each new subject, I begin a voyage of discovery both in the real animal and the style of its portrayal and it’s a fascinating journey of which I never tire. I want to create unpretentious, ‘stand- alone’ pieces of art that need no explanation, but only seek to capture the living, breathing, beautiful forms of nature.”
