“My work aims to represent the feelings present in a particular moment, sometimes one that can’t quite be pinpointed but has felt important.  I like to use figures and sometimes animals as subjects.  The sculptures are figurative but in a fairly selective way – if anatomical correctness is getting in the way it gets overridden.

– Domenica de Ferranti

“I would like a viewer’s relationship to my work to shift and evolve over time. They aim to symbolise an experience that I was interested in at a certain time but will most likely look at differently with fluid retrospect. A viewer would presumably look at the work through a different lens but I would imagine the same would be true for their relationships over time.”
